Johann van Heerden has his sights focused on the IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow

Johann van Heerden a S10 Swimmer with Physical Disabilities has been selected to take part in the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow, Great Britain, from 13-19 July 2015 as part of the South African Para Swimming Team.

Johann will be swimming on the 13th July in the 50M Freestyle in the S10 Class and on the 15th July he will be swimming his main event the 100m Breaststroke in the SB 9 class.

Johann is a member of Kovies Aquatics and been trained by the South African Coach Marco Markgraaff, Johann is also part of the High Performance Program for Athletes with Disability’s at the Free State Sport Science Institute.

The Young man is currently studying at the University of Free State   and is busy with his 1st Year in Education, with all the training and the fact that he is willing to work hard and put in a very big effort to make his swimming career a very big success – working to go to the Paralympics in Rio 2016 to make his dream come true.

From FSSAPD side we like to wish him all the best for the World Champs and that he will go and make the Free State proud and we know that he has the ability to become one of the best swimmers in the world.
